1- Improving stress-tolerance of crop plants that are important to improve agricultural productivity; Tolerance to abiotic stress (salinity-heat-drought); Focus on resistance to biotic stress (plant diseases and insect pests) in an attempt to minimize the use of pesticides and agrochemical and the associated hazards to the environment arising from their use; Gene mining using genomics & proteomic high through tools. 2- Project to improve micronutrient deficiencies in crops. Since folic acid is one of the micronutrients and is not synthesized in humans, plant food is the main source of the vitamin. Rice is one of the economically most important crops in the world. To enhance rice plants producing higher amounts of folic acid by over expressing key enzymes of the folate biosynthesis pathway
