Survey of the female population of Balochistan is being conducted to determine the calcaneal bone mineral density, so as to finds the prevalent risk factors and to prevent the women folk from osteoporosis. Calcium concentration thus evaluated by Bone Sonometer is used to find the nutritional deficiency and the associated risks. Subjects are interviewed for nutritional and other socio-economic status to find out the related diseases.
