Structure property relationships in a polyamide modified thyxotropic alkyd resin. A polyamide was synthesized from dimerised melon seed oil fatty acid and 1,2- phemplenediamine. The extent of thyxotropy imparted by this on a commercial alkyd resin will be studied.
