UNDER-GRADUATE I am the current departmental coordinator for undergraduate training. My responsibilities include making specialty lecture, small group discussion and clinical demonstration rotas. I also handle all medical students posting related activities including the end of posting assessments. i. Didactic teaching of Clinico-Radiological topics to Undergraduate Medical Students- I teach introductory lectures and tutorials in Radiology to 300- level Medical Students. I also teach Respiratory/ Chest Radiology to medical students during the Junior Paediatric posting and general radiology to 400 level Medical Students during the (Block) Special postings ii. Demonstration of Radiological Procedures and techniques to Undergraduate Medical students- in the areas of General Ultrasonography, mammography, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, Computerised Tomography Scan, Magnetic Resonance Imaging , as well as Routine and contrast Radiography. iii. Teaching of appropriate Radiology topics to Dental, Physiotherapy and Nursing students at their Clinical posting level- I teach and demonstrate Principles of Radiology to 400 level Physiotherapy students during the Radiology posting iv. Conducting Tutorials on Clinico-radiological interpretation- on topics related to all aspects of Radiology including Chest and respiratory Radiology, cardiovascular radiology, interventional radiology, Musculo-Skeletal and Small Parts radiology in addition. v. Examiner- I am one of the representatives of the department of radiology on the examination committee in the final MBBS surgery examinations. I am also involved in the development of OSCE and oral examination components of the BDS and MBBS final examinations. POST-GRADUATE i-I am involved in training and preparing Resident Doctors in Radiology through teaching, and practical demonstrations for the Fellowship examinations in West African College of Surgeons, and National postgraduate Medical College. I teach Radiology to Residents Doctors from other specialties rotating through the department of Radiology. ii. Resource Person- I have given lectures during update and revision courses in Radiology which were organised by the West African postgraduate Medical colleges as well as film demonstration sessions in Radiology during the update courses in other specialties like Internal Medicine, family Medicine , Ophthalmology and Physiotherapy. iii. Other academic activities- include Supervision and participation in weekly intradepartmental and inter-departmental Postgraduate Radiology seminars and special radiology teaching sessions. iv. Invigilator- I have invigilated all parts of the fellowship examinations of the Faculty of Radiology of the West African college of Surgeons (2007-2014) v. Examiner- at the Part I fellowship examinations of the Faculty of Radiology of the West African college of Surgeons (2016) vi.
