OWSD has been working hard in the Arab region since 1997 to increase the number and participation of women scientists.  Both our PhD and Early Career Fellowships are offered to women in Djibouti, Palestine (West Bank and Gaza Strip), and Sudan; PhD Fellowships are also offered to women in the Syrian Arab Republic and Yemen. We also have active National Chapters in Palestine and Sudan. It is our goal to increase the influence of Arab women in designing and implementing scientific research.
