I am an expert in synthesis, design, and characterization of nanomaterials with more than 14 years of academic, professional and research experience on national and international level. My research is focused on developing new routes for the fabrication and characterization of novel nanomaterials for electrocatalytic applications. My work on platinum nanomaterials, produced completely new morphologies of nanostructured metal, and has led to a number of high profile publications, and a successful patent application (Pub. No.: WO/2012/131296). I have won 6 research grants including a highly distinguished NRPU Research Grant in 2022 funded by a flagship National Research Program for Universities by HEC, Pakistan and a prestigious EPSRC Global Challenges Research Fund in 2016, funded by The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, UK, and completed many projects successfully on national and international level. I also won HEC Faculty development scholarship for doctoral study in 2008, and a postdoctoral fund in 2019. Currently, I am serving as Associate Professor at UET Lahore, New Campus. I am also looking after our postgraduate program at department e.g. MPhil Chemistry. I am a part of the editorial board of research journal at UET. I have reviewed several research papers for national and international journals. I have supervised more than 10 postgraduate research students. I have established Advanced Research Lab equipped with state of the art instruments like; Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC MS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), UV-Visible Spectroscopy, at our department. The lab is successfully running and currently analysing hundreds of samples per day.
