Current profession

Dr. Mst. Nahid Akter is currently working as a Professor in the Dept. of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and technology University, Dinajpur. She earned her B. Sc. Fisheries (Hons.) degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University. Later She completed her MSc. in Bangladesh Agricultural University and PhD from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. She has teaching experience for 16 years in the Department of Aquaculture in Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University. She worked as dean in the Faculty of Fisheries for two years and as chairman in the Department of Aquaculture for 6 years. Dr. Akter has experience working with different projects funded by Post Graduate Research Scheme in USM, University Grant Commission of Bangladesh and Institute of Research and Training in HSTU. Her research Background is quite commendable. She published twenty seven scientific articles in reputed national and international Journal having good impact factors. She attended several national and international workshop/conference/symposium. She has been reviewing several research articles of some renowned journals and working as a member of editorial boards of two international journals.
