Protecting marine life: Environmentally sound management of plastic wastes in Ghana The National Geographic Society is supporting an environmental education programme that focuses on educating inhabitants of coastal areas (and immediate neighbouring areas) of the importance of separation of plastic wastes from other wastes at the source point, rather than the end point.
