Prof. Dr. Helena Bustos is Professor of Molecular Pharmacology and Nanotechnology at the Universidad de La Sabana and Director of Pharmacology Department of Medicine Faculty. She is head of the Evidence Based-Therapeutic Group of the Universidad de La Sabana. After graduating from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia as Chemist and Pharmacist, she obtained a PhD in Science at Tübingen University in Germany. She had post-doc position in Tissue Engineering and Biotechnology. She has serves in many international expert committees such as the Biosensor MPDI, Biologics and Biosimilars. Her main research areas are Pharmacology, Nanotechnology and Biopharmaceuticals. She is author over 40 peer-reviewed publications. Awarded the Women in Chemistry in 2019 (OPCW).
