I am a PhD student in the Acinetobacter baumannii Research Group in the University of the Basque Country, working on mechanisms of resistante to carbapenems (cabapenemases and plasmids as its genetic support) and persistance in the hospital environment. The aim of the research is to adquire relevant knowledge of mechanisms of multidrug-resistance of clinical isolates producing carbapenemases in our country and in Bolivia and its relationship with human health and illness.
