The HIV/AIDS pandemic has led to a rapid rise of the tuberculosis (TB) epidemic and increased the susceptibility to TB infection in Africa, thus, the need to reduce or stop this epidemic. As part of our efforts to this we intend to develop and investigate the effect of Schiff bases and their metal complexes on mycobacterium tuberculosis, the casual agent of TB.
