Medical and Health Sciences incl Neurosciences
Her research focuses on the low renin phenotype, particularly in Africans. This phenotype is characterised by volume-loading hypertension and salt sensitivity. She is interested in the role of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, salt intake and sympathetic activity in the development of hypertension. Additionally, she is also collaborating with other researchers in creating awareness in the communities regarding hypertension and its co-morbidities.
