Awarded by the Third World Academy of Sciences, currently the World Academy of Sciences TWAS, through the Colombian Academy of Sciences to Colombian Young Scientists.

Award for Scientists working in developing countries to attend ICTP's scientific activities and perform own research activities at the ICTP.

Awarded for "successful efforts to establish permanent research activities in phyiscs and technology of optical fibres in Colombia". The "Sarwar Razmi" Prize was anteceding the current ICO-ICTP Gallieno Denardo Award for young researchers from developing countries, who conduct their research in a developing country, and have contributed to the promotion of research activities in Optics in their own or another developing country.

Membership awarded regarding the academic and scientific merits of the elected candidate. Correspondent members must have excelled in research in any of the areas of the exact, physical and natural sciences, by carrying out works, publications and directing scientific projects.

Senior ICTP Associateships are intended for scientists from a developing country who have acquired international scientific status. It provides funds for research stays at ICTP during six years.

Awarded for contributions to quantum and atom optics and for the promotion of optics in developing countries. OSA Fellowships are awarded to OSA members for having served with distinction in the advancement of optics and photonics through distinguished contributions to education, research, engineering, business and society. The number of Fellows is limited to be no more than 10% of the total OSA Membership
