Current Research Activities

Engineering sciences

For the past 7 years, Gamuchirai has been researching on Green manufacturing, Renewable and Sustainable Energy focusing intensively on Solar Thermal, Solar PV, Biogas, and Wind energies, Performance Evaluation and Monitoring in Universities, Cleaner methods of generating Electricity. Her agenda is to improve the energy efficiency of the Dairy companies in Zimbabwe and other sectors which use thermal energy. She has designed and fabricated a number of systems, one of which was with the help of SOLTRAIN. Since then she has continuously improved the area of Renewable and Sustainable Energy and is currently researching on storage batteries for these systems.
