Current Research Activities

Ana Ramirez received her Ph.D. from James Cook University in Australia where she studied mosquito excreta to enhance mosquito-borne disease surveillance. Ana is interested in identifying factors that can lead to the emergence and re-emergence of mosquito-borne arboviruses and developing methods to enhance their surveillance.

Research Keywords:
vector biology
arbovirology
arbovirus surveillance
mosquito-borne diseases
vector competence
mosquitoes
zoonotic diseases
