Working on a project titled "Distribution of toxic metals in industrial waste from Kanpur and Kolkata industrial areas in India". These two industrial areas have small-scale industrial areas and most of the industries are leather processing. The work involved collection of solid waste and wastewater samples, their analysis, data interpretation using various computer packages. The analysis was mainly done on quantitative and qualitative estimation of toxic metals in it viz., Ni, Cr, Pb, As and Hg, and focusing on the effects and need of waste management practices in small-scale industrial sectors in India
