Current Research Activities

I have keen interest in strategies of securing safe food systems in food value chains in the face of climatic change and environmental threats to sustainable production of animal source foods. I also have a bias for disease control specifically the control of neglected zoonotic diseases such as bovine brucellosis which account for the highest economic burdens toward development. Research in this field impacts on the economic and social pillars of vision 2030 towards poverty reduction and sustainable, equitable, social development in a clean and secure environment to improve livelihoods.
