Current Research Activities
Currently I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Tulane in the Department of Ecology and Evolution. My research explores the role of the soil microbiome of tropical trees to determine its relationship to the susceptibility of tropical trees (individuals and species) to negative density dependence (NDD). The research is conducted in the Ecuadorian Andean Choco rain forest which is recognized as one of the most biologically diverse regions on the planet. This research will provide insight about the maintenance of hyperdiverse tree communities in tropical forests.
