Time-dependent studies at hydromagnetic wave equation in inhomogenous magnetic fields to understand the impulse excitation of field line oscillations in magnetospheric plasmas. This study is important to the understanding of the phenomena of micropulsations, formation of aurora and substorms in planetary magnetospheres.
