I am interested in bioprospecting which allows me to explore natural sources for bioactive compounds, and studying their biochemical information (structure, function and mechanism of action) to promote the development of valuable low-cost therapeutics. I am also interested in studying drug interactions with functional foods/nutraceuticals, and the impact of self-medication with phytotherapy in special populations.
