I am currently a Research Assistant at the Centre for Biomedical and Biomaterials Research (CBBR), University of Mauritius. I recently submitted my PhD thesis and I am waiting for my PhD defense. My research focuses on leveraging tissue engineering and biotechnology techniques to develop advanced wound dressings with biodegradable, biocompatible, and antibacterial properties, aiming to expedite wound healing and serve as barriers against secondary microbial infections in cutaneous leishmaniasis wounds.
