Study of solid state mechanisms of thermal decomposition of rare earth metal oxalates and their derivatives, identification of some intermediates that are interesting from the point of view of applied catalysis in synthesis; Study of the analysis of Tanzanian clays and their potential in industry - surface chemistry and thermal analysis are studies, and x-ray diffraction and infrared studies are used as complimentary techniques.
