Development of raw aluminum derived lewis acid reagents and their application in the ragioselective ocylaties reactions of compounds that do not react under classical conditions. The monocycliated products to be synthesized have potential pharmaceutical activity; Synthesis of levoglucoserose derivatives to be used in the synthesis of i) chiral ligands for the preparation of aluminum reagents and, ii) chiral dioctives.
