i am currently involved in medicinal plant research, developing a masters curriculum for food security and biotechnology in Africa and analysis of genetic diversity and compositional analysis of tubers of wild and cultivated nutsedge (Cyperus esculentus)

Jan 2001Fellowshipi was awarded a PhD fellowship to study in the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. It was a great opportunity to study in a centre of excellence and interact with students from different nationalities. I am grateful for the award as it enabled me to be what i am today. I was also awarded a small amount of money to carry out part of my studies in Leslie Hill Molecular Laboratory in Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden in Cape Town, South Africa.
