Polyaromatic hydrocarbon chromatographic fingerprinting and Antibiogram Screening of Edible oils sold in two geopolitical zones of Nigeria. Polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are ubiquitous lipophilic substances, having varying levels of concentration in edible oils. The study was aimed at evaluating the concentration of polyaromatic hydrocarbon present in Shea butter, coconut oil and palm kernel oil also ascertaining the antimicrobial sensitivity. The polyaromatic hydrocarbon identified and quantified are; Napthalene, Acenaphthene, Acenaphthylene, Anthracene, Fluorene, Phenapthrene, Fluoranthene, Pyrene, Chrysene, Benzo(a)pyrene, Benzo(b)fluoranthene and Benzo(k)fluoranthene. The concentration of the sum of PAHs of the samples ranged from 7.64 - 71.32 ppm.
