Current profession
Current professional activities type:ResearchTeachingI work mainly on multidrug-resistant bacteria in order to find new alternatives for antimicrobial control. Phage therapy is also an area of research that fascinates me. I am in love with nature and the solutions it can bring us in science. I belong to the Research Unit in Applied Microbiology and Pharmacology of Natural Substances (URMAPha) / University of Abomey-Calavi / Benin where I am a researcher and assistant scientific coordinator of academic internships.

Currently, the society is comprised of over 30,000 members, of which over one third reside outside of the United States. The mission of ASM is “to promote and advance the microbial sciences. The purpose of this program is to identify knowledgeable, inspiring ASM leaders willing to engage students and early-career scientists worldwide on behalf of ASM. Young Ambassadors provide an official local presence on behalf of ASM and represent the local scientific community to ASM. While the Young Ambassador will represent ASM to all, their primary responsibility will be to the students and early-career scientists in their country. Among other activities, Young Ambassadors will • promote and explain the benefits of membership in ASM; • identify and communicate national/regional issues and opportunities to ASM; • build relationships with national/regional universities and scientific societies; • facilitate networking opportunities and/or contribute to national/regional Facebook groups; and • provide local assistance for ASM programs and projects when appropriate.
