Patricia Caratozzolo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She received the Ph.D. degree from the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain, in 2003. Since 2005 she has been a member of the faculty of Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico, where she is Assistant Professor of Power Energy Systems. She leads projects in the area of Educational Innovation, Critical Thinking, Cognitive Flexibility and development of Soft Skills in Engineering. She teaches courses on the implementation of Educational Innovation strategies as: Development of Creativity and Innovation and Problem Solving through Design Thinking. Dr. Caratozzolo is Senior Member of IEEE and Vice President of the International Association of Continuing Engineering Education (IACEE). She is also Associate Member of the Institute for the Future of Education of the Tecnologico de Monterrey.

Current professional activities type:ResearchTeachingShe worked for several years at the National Center for Technological Research and Development (Cenidet) as a professor-researcher, where she directed six master's theses in the area of energy control in electric and hybrid vehicles. He has numerous articles published on issues of supervisory control of energy in electric and hybrid vehicles. She is currently a professor-researcher in the Department of Mechatronics of the Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico, especialized in Power Transmission, Ssustainability and Energy Efficiency.
