I am currently doing the following research in technology and wellbeing. Problem formulation: Taking into account that one of the populations most affected by the misuse of technology, especially after Covid, called the "Digital Accelerator" (Amankwah-Amoah, 2021), are adolescents. In recent years the use of technology has increased exponentially, 95% of adolescents in the USA have a mobile phone (Odgers, 2020), 65% of families have access to the Internet and 61% to computers. (Brandenberg, 2019). In a study carried out in 2018, it was evidenced that since 2011 the search for psychological help by adolescents has increased, an indicator of a low rate of well-being (Twenge, 2018). This research is focused on being able to help the adolescent population in Colombia. General Objective: The objective of this research is to understand the interaction between technology and the well-being of adolescents and adults, and how it affects their mental health, especially in four areas: memory, attention, decision making and self-esteem. It also aims to analyze the role of ethics in the creation and design of technological tools.
