Academic partnerships underpin the OWSD model. For 35 years, OWSD has collaborated with universities and institutes which have hosted key initiatives and programmes

Academic institutions around the world have hosted the OWSD PhD Fellowship and Early Career Fellowships programmes. Institutional partnerships might involve waiving student fees, hosting an event, or becoming a networking hub for OWSD members. Since 2024, OWSD has also partnered with institutions in Türkiye and Uganda to offer fully funded WISDOM Master’s scholarships for refugee women scientists.
