OWSD Pakistan: Role of AI in Precision Medicine
The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) Pakistan National Chapter, in collaboration with Dr. A. Q. Khan Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (KIBGE), successfully organized another lecture as part of the KIBGE Lecture Series: Investment in the Future on January 20 at KIBGE, University of Karachi. The session, titled “Role of AI in Precision Medicine,” highlighted the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in modern healthcare.
The resource person for the session was Dr. Muhammad Shahzad, Assistant Professor at GU-Tech, Al Ghazali University, and Visiting Scholar at Lancaster University, UK. Dr. Shahzad discussed how AI-driven tools are revolutionizing disease diagnosis, treatment planning, and personalized healthcare, with a focus on data-driven decision-making in precision medicine.
