Strengthening Collaborations for Innovation-Driven Growth
The Sri Lanka National Chapter of the Organizatiion for Women in Science for the Developing World (SLNC- OWSD) is proud to continue its impactful partnership with the National Science Foundation, Sri Lanka. On 28 August 2025, a project conceptualisation meeting was held at the NSF, bringing together: Dr. Sepalika Sudasinghe – Director General, NSF, Dr. Hermali Silva – President, SLNC-OWSD, Prof. Sugandika Suresh – Editor and a Past President of SLNC-OWSD and Ms. Thilinakumari Kandanamulla – Senior Scientific Officer, NSF. This preliminary planning session focused on collaborative initiatives aimed at empowering two transformative groups: Entrepreneurs in the SME sector and the young school innovators in Sri Lanka. This activity will help to shape initiatives that foster opportunity, creativity, and sustainable development which drive Sri Lanka’s innovation-led economic growth and hoping to set this project in 2026.
