My research activities are in the field of Computer Science and Information Systems. My research focus has been in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Intelligent Information Systems, Soft Computing, and Climate Change.

Abimbola Afolayan is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Information Systems of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Akure, Ondo State in the year 2006, 2012 and 2019 respectively. She is a member of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), N2 Women, Women in High Performance Computing (WHPC) and Association of Computing Machinery (ACM).
