In line with the theme of International Women Day 2025 “Accelerating Action”, the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World – Kenya (OWSD-Kenya) seeks to bring together key stakeholders to address systemic barriers such as cultural stereotypes, implicit biases at workplace, limited of mentorship in STEM fields and unequal access to resources, restricting their advancement in STEM fields. Leadership positions play a pivotal role in shaping policies, driving research priorities, and cultivating workplace cultures. Having more women in leadership positions can lead to more equitable and impactful outcomes. Through this forum, we aim to empower women in STEM to pursue  and excel in leadership positions by exploring practical strategies and foster collaborations. The objectives of the workshop are: Highlight the significance of women in STEM in leadership positions and its impact on innovation. Facilitate discussions on the human rights barriers to inclusivity in STEM and strategies for overcoming them Foster collaboration among diverse stakeholder to promote systemic changes in STEM organizations
