The OWSD Palestine National Chapter invites you to a seminar on Cooperation and Funding Opportunities with the Royal Society of Sciences (UK) and Medical Research Council

The OWSD Palestine National Chapter and Palestine Academy for Science and Technology (PALAST) will host HE Minister Prof. Marwan Awartani, The Academy President, and Dr. David Pan, the Challenge Manager in Global Health at the Medical Research Council MRC.

HE Minister Prof. Marwan Awartani will give a seminar on "Cooperation with the Royal Society of Sciences (UK): Opportunities and Outcomes", and ways to benefit from this cooperation.

Dr. David Pan will give a Seminar on “Medical Research Council (UK) Funding Opportunities” and ways to support OWSD Palestine National Chapter

Thursday, June 11th, 2020 at 8pm (Palestine time) via Zoom

The OWSD Palestine National Chapter  is pleased to invite you to attend an introducing seminar on the Royal Society (UK), and MRC, its goals, and ways to support research across the entire spectrum of science, technology, engineering and medical sciences, in universities and institutions, in their own units, centers and institutes in the world. This lecture is to introduce the members to new fund opportunity as one of the chapter aims is the networking 

HE Minister Prof. Marwan Awartani will deliver a presentation for 15 min about the cooperation between the Academy as a national umbrella and the Royal Society, and cooperative networking in the research field through subsequent follow-up agreed upon between the Academy and the British Royal Society.

Dr. David Pan will deliver a presentation for 15 mins about the methodology research program and strategic priorities fund at MRC and different call for proposals that OWSD Palestine National Chapter members might benefit from, he will touch base as well as the selection process of the proposals to be funded, especially for the current pandemic, and the impact of Coronavirus on UK supported research, and the Global efforts on COVID-19 Health Research.

The seminar will be in English.
