Achievements of OWSD Honduras members

Our OWSD Honduras member, Zarela Alvarado Peña, MSc., and Anthropologist Jasmi Bautista Soto participated in the XXXIV International Congress ALAS RD-CARIBE 2024, held at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Representing Honduras and UNAH Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras Campus Comayagua, they presented the paper: “Community actions for climate risk management: an approach to Lenca indigenous communities in Honduras”, within the framework of WG14 ‘Environment, extractivism, conflicts, climate emergency and ecosocial collapse".
