Call for Consultancy - Writer and Content Editor

The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), a programme unit of UNESCO, hosted by The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), invites qualified candidates to apply for a consultancy as Writer and Content Editor.

The consultant will support OWSD’s strategic communications and fundraising efforts through high-quality writing, editing, and editorial coordination across reports, proposals, web content, and other institutional materials.

Duration: 11 months 
Duty station: Remote
Start date: As soon as possible

Required Qualifications

• University degree in Communications, Journalism, International Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in writing and editing for international organizations, research institutions, or NGOs.
• Demonstrated ability to produce clear, high-quality written content for diverse audiences.
• Experience with web content development and familiarity with SEO principles.
• Excellent command of written English; knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an asset.
