OWSD Pakistan: Participation in OWSD 6th General Assembly and International Conference

OWSD organized the 6th General Assembly (GA) and International Conference which was held from November 8-19, 2021. The theme of this year conference was "Women, Science and Development". The main objective of the conference was to explore three areas of relevance:

1) the importance of basic sciences for the development

2) the impact of applied sciences on the development 

3) including sex and gender as variables in scientific research

From OWSD Pakistan Dr. Saima Saleem (Associate Professor, KIBGE, University of Karachi, Secretary, OWSD Pakistan) and Dr. Sitwat Zehra (Associate Professor, KIBGE, University of Karachi, Treasurer, OWSD Pakistan) participated along with their teams. 

Dr Saima Saleem presented her poster on "Analysis of Genetic Variation(s) in Cell Cycle Checkpoint Regulatory Gene(s): An Association with Breast Carcinoma" and received the certificates of participation and poster presentation from OWSD 

Dr Sitwat Zehra presented her poster on "Analyses of Genetic Variation in the Genes of Non-Translated Transcript: Relationship with Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma" and received the certificates of participation and poster presentation from OWSD
