OWSD Pakistan: Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pakistan National Chapter and Sohail University

On June 17, 2026, the OWSD Pakistan National Chapter signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sohail University to formalize a collaborative partnership aimed at advancing women in STEM and promoting academic and research excellence.

The MOU signing event was held at KIBGE, University of Karachi. It was signed by Prof. Bina S. Siddiqui (S.I., T.I), President of OWSD Pakistan National Chapter and Dr. Asma Tabassum, Director ORIC - Sohail University. Prof. Saima Saleem, Secretary - OWSD Pakistan National Chapter, signed as a witness.

This strategic alliance will open new avenues for joint research initiatives, capacity-building workshops, mentorship programs, and knowledge-sharing platforms, benefiting students, faculty, and early-career researchers. The MOU reflects a shared commitment to fostering leadership, innovation, and professional development among women scientists and academics in Pakistan.
