Early Career Women Scientists Fellowships Programme Inception Workshop

Kick-off workshop will collect feedback from OWSD alumnae and other stakeholders

From 20-24 November 2017, ten OWSD alumnae as well as representatives from academic institutes in developing countries, experts in relevant fields, and Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC) will meet in Trieste, Italy to conduct an Inception Workshop for the new Early Career Women Scientists Fellowship Programme. This workshop will serve as an opportunity for stakeholders to provide feedback and advice on the proposed programme. Representatives from private companies and industry with strong links to academia and experience in converting research into marketable products are also invited.

This feedback will be considered by the programme's Technical Advisory Committee and will inform many aspects of the final Fellowship programme structure. More details about the ECWS Fellowships programme will be available in January 2018, with the first Call for Applications to open in March 2018.
