Dr. Abebech Nuguse

About me

Dr. Abebech Nuguse Amare is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Toxicology at Hawassa University. She holds a BSc in Applied Chemistry from Hawassa University, an MSc in Environmental Sanitation from Ghent University, Belgium, and a PhD in Environmental Toxicology. She has been with Hawassa University since 2007, contributing her expertise in environmental chemistry and toxicology.

Dr. Abebech Nuguse Amare is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Toxicology. She earned her BSc degree in Applied Chemistry on July 12, 2007, from Hawassa University. Since September 2007, she has worked as a Graduate Assistant and Assistant Lecturer at Hawassa University. In September 2011, she pursued a Master of Science in Environmental Sanitation at Ghent University in Belgium, completing her studies on September 13, 2013. Following her MSc, Dr. Abebech returned to Hawassa University as a lecturer. She began her PhD studies in Environmental Toxicology at Hawassa University on December 12, 2018, and successfully obtained her PhD on July 2, 2024. She is currently serving Hawassa University as an Assistant Professor of Environmental Toxicology in the Department of Chemistry
