About me

Ahmed Abed Gatea Al-shammary received BSc and Msc degrees in Agriculture science/Mechanization from Baghdad University, and Ph.D. degree in Engineering with specialization in Agriculture Machinery and Remote Sensing Applications from Deakin University, Australia. He is a Lecturer and Researcher with the College of Agriculture, Wasit University, Iraq. His academic accomplishment includes 16 Journal Papers and 1 Conference paper in diverse area such as: machine design, construction dryer, crops drying by using solar energy, crop harvester, heat transfer in soil, measuring devices, biosystems engineering, information and communication technology in agriculture. Many of these papers are published in prestigious international journals such as Sciencedirect and Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute. He has 4 patents, with 2 pending. Ahmed is a reviewer for several international journals including as Archives of Agronomy and Soil Science, Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, Applied Engineering in Agriculture. Currently, his research interests are in computers and mechatronic techniques in production agriculture, improvement of soil properties and control of soil-borne diseases by using renewable energy sources.
