About me

I am a full-time post-doctoral researcher at the Egyptian Drug Authority (Giza). My expertise centers on novel drug delivery systems and nanomedicine, with a strong focus on drug targeting, pharmacokinetics, and comparative dissolution studies, underpinned by quality-by-design (QbD) principles. I earned my PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cairo University (2020) and previously completed an M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2013). Throughout my career, I have combined academic teaching in pharmaceutics and drug targeting with technical and quality-related responsibilities in national drug control laboratories, and I have contributed to projects and publications spanning antiviral and respiratory therapies, advanced nano-formulations, and translational drug delivery research.

I am a pharmaceutical sciences professional with strong expertise in novel drug delivery systems, nanomedicine, drug targeting, pharmacokinetics, comparative dissolution studies, and quality by design (QbD). I am currently a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Department of Pharmaceutics, Egyptian Drug Authority, and I also serve as Deputy of the Technical Manager/Pharmaceutics Lab, where I support pharmaceutics laboratory operations and technical activities. My research background includes the design and evaluation of targeted nanocarriers and advanced formulations for antiviral and anti-inflammatory therapies, supported by funded projects such as a 12-month anti-inflammatory pulmonary disease repurposing project (University of Hail, 2023) and a 12-month nano phyto-throat spray program for post-exposure COVID-19 strategies (Misr El Kheir Foundation, 2021). I hold a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cairo University (February 2020) and an M.Sc. (December 2013), and my earlier professional experience includes quality control and lab leadership roles at NODCAR and technical training at industry. My publication record includes peer-reviewed work on nanoformulations, targeted hepatic delivery, and antiviral/respiratory pharmaceutical strategies, reflecting a career that bridges academia, laboratory technical leadership, and translational pharmaceutics research.
