About me
I am a PhD researcher in Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. I hold an M.Phil. in Chemistry with Distinction from the University of Science and Technology Bannu, Pakistan, and received Gold Medals for academic excellence in both my BSc and MSc degrees. I have over eight years of teaching and research experience as a Lecturer in Chemistry with the Higher Education Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and as a Research Assistant at the University of Science and Technology Bannu. My research focuses on developing eco-friendly and portable sensing platforms for environmental monitoring and healthcare diagnostics, with broader interests in analytical chemistry, nanomaterials, environmental sensing, and sustainable technologies for water quality monitoring.
I am currently a PhD researcher in Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, where I conduct research in the Wheatley Research Group at the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry.
I previously earned an M.Phil. in Chemistry with Distinction from the University of Science and Technology Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan. Throughout my academic career, I graduated first in my class and was awarded Gold Medals for outstanding academic performance in both my BSc and MSc degrees in Chemistry.
Following my Master's degree, I was appointed as a Lecturer in Chemistry in the Higher Education Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, through the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC). Alongside my teaching responsibilities, I also served as a part-time Research Assistant at the University of Science and Technology Bannu. I have over eight years of experience in teaching and research, with expertise in analytical chemistry, nanomaterials, sensing, and environmental analysis.
My current research focuses on the design and functionalization of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) for visible-light-driven photocatalytic CO₂ reduction into sustainable liquid fuels. My research integrates materials synthesis, characterization, and photocatalytic performance evaluation to develop efficient and environmentally sustainable materials for carbon capture and utilization. My broader research interests include MOFs, photocatalysis, CO₂ conversion, sustainable energy materials, and environmental chemistry.
