Ms. Anabel Acheampong
About me
I am a young female research fellow with a strong background in parasitic neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) and a profound understanding of their impact, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. I am deeply committed to finding innovative solutions to combat diseases such as schistosomiasis, onchocerciasis, yaws, lymphatic filariasis, and soil-transmitted helminths. In my current leadership roles as the Unit Head for the Parasitology Unit and Laboratory Head, at the Consortium for Neglected Tropical Disease and One Health, Sunyani, Ghana I am privileged to guide and inspire the next generation of researchers with a shared interest in NTDs. I am committed to continuous learning, professional development, leadership, effective communication and conflict and crisis management.
