About me

Short Professional Bio – Dr. Andrea M. Daly
Dr. Andrea M. Daly is an accomplished pharmacist, educator, and academic leader with over 30 years of professional experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Entomology from the University of the West Indies, a Diploma in Pharmacy from the College of Arts, Science and Technology (now UTech Jamaica), and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from The Ohio State University. A trained educator, she also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
Dr. Daly has developed expertise in Diabetes Care, Women's Health, and Gastrointestinal Disorders, and has extensive experience in teaching, clinical practice, and scholarship. She serves as a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director for the Doctor of Pharmacy programme in the School of Pharmacy, College of Health Sciences, and previously led the School as Head of School. She contributes significantly to clinical education through her involvement in Clinical Clerkship modules at both the Bachelor and Doctor of Pharmacy levels, and remains committed to mentorship, curriculum development, and academic leadership.

Professional Bio – Dr. Andrea M. Daly
Dr. Andrea M. Daly is a distinguished pharmacist, educator, and academic leader with more than 30 years of professional experience. She began her career by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Entomology at the University of the West Indies, Mona. She went on to complete a Diploma in Pharmacy from the College of Arts, Science and Technology— now the University of Technology, Jamaica—after which she became a Registered Pharmacist and later obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from The Ohio State University. A trained educator, Dr. Daly also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, which has strengthened her ability to influence and inspire learners at various stages of their professional development.
Throughout her career, Dr. Daly has developed advanced expertise in Diabetes Care, Women’s Health, and Gastrointestinal Disorders, areas in which she has conducted extensive teaching, clinical work, and scholarly activity. She currently serves as a Senior Lecturer and the Programme Director for the Doctor of Pharmacy programme in the School of Pharmacy, College of Health Sciences. She previously served as Head of the School of Pharmacy at the University of Technology, Jamaica. In her academic role, she contributes significantly to the delivery of Clinical Clerkship modules for both the Bachelor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy programmes and is actively involved in student mentorship, curriculum development, and academic leadership.
Dr. Daly’s scholarly contributions include several research publications, reflecting her commitment to advancing knowledge and improving clinical and educational practice. Her professional excellence has been recognized with multiple awards, including a national award for her contributions for service to Youth Development and to the development of the Pharmacy Profession.
Beyond academia, Dr. Daly is actively involved in community service. She serves with the BFA Ministries, a women’s outreach ministry, and is a Justice of the Peace, offering support and guidance to her community. She is married to Peter, and together they are the proud parents of their daughter, Sarah‑Ann.
