Andrea Vanessa Mory Alvarado holds a PhD in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of the Balearic Islands. She is a researcher and lecturer with expertise in Green IT Governance, digital education, diversity, and gender. She has published in indexed journals, participated in international conferences, and led academic projects in Ecuador and Latin America.

Andrea Vanessa Mory Alvarado is a researcher, lecturer, and academic leader from Ecuador. She holds a PhD in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of the Balearic Islands, a Master’s degree in Telematics from the University of Cuenca, a second Master’s degree in Educational Innovation and Management from IEXE University in Mexico, and a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Azuay.

Her research focuses on Green IT Governance, digital education, female entrepreneurship, and digital citizenship. She has published scientific articles in Scopus-indexed journals such as IEEE and Elsevier, and has actively participated in multiple international conferences. She is also certified in Cisco CCNA and has extensive teaching and research experience in higher education.

Andrea has held various academic management positions, including Sub-Dean, Program Director, and faculty member at the Catholic University of Cuenca. She has also coordinated Cisco Networking Academy initiatives and facilitated professional training programs in the fields of networks, information technologies, and digital transformation.

In addition to her academic and research work, Andrea is engaged in promoting diversity and gender inclusion in STEM fields. She has been recognized as the Provincial Ambassador for Ecuador of the STEM Women Congress 2025, reflecting her commitment to fostering equity and empowering women in science and technology.

Through her academic leadership, research contributions, and community engagement, Andrea Vanessa Mory Alvarado continues to advance the role of technology and education in building more inclusive and sustainable societies.
