I am currently serving as a Deputy Director at the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI), attached to the Microbiology Laboratory, which operates as an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory.

I possess over 14 years of experience in microbiological testing, quality management systems, auditing, and standards development. I have also been functioning as the Quality Representative since 2017.

🔹 Key Responsibilities and Contributions
1. Laboratory Operations
Conducted microbiological testing of samples such as water, food, cosmetics, toothpaste, and fertilizer under SLS Mark Scheme, Import Inspection Scheme, and external client requests
Tested over 1000 samples during 2024–2025 and issued corresponding reports
Ensured compliance with national and international standards (SLS, ISO)
Functioned as an Authorized Signatory for issuing accredited and non-accredited test reports
2. Quality Management System (ISO/IEC 17025)
Implemented and maintained the Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS)
Developed and updated documentation in line with ISO/IEC 17025:2017
Conducted root cause analysis and implemented corrective actions for audit findings
Contributed to the expansion of accreditation scope
3. Technical and Quality Assurance Activities
Performed method validation and verification
Participated in proficiency testing and inter-laboratory comparison programmes (ITI, Bureau Veritas)
Conducted QA activities such as environmental monitoring, media quality control, and equipment maintenance
Identified risks affecting test validity and ensured data reliability
