About me
Doctorate in Projects, Master's Degree in Visual Analytics and Big Data, Master's Degree in Foreign Trade, Specialist in University Teaching, Specialist in Mathematics Applied to Education, Diploma in Political Violence, Diploma in Criminology and Forensic Sciences
I hold a PhD in Projects from the International Iberoamerican University – Mexico (UNINI). I hold a Master's Degree in Foreign Trade with a specialization in Customs Taxation from the Technological Business University of Guayaquil, Ecuador; a Master's Degree in Visual Analytics and Big Data from the University of La Rioja, Spain; a Specialization in University Teaching from the Catholic University of Cuenca, Ecuador; and a Degree in Systems Engineering from the Catholic University of Cuenca, Ecuador. I have a Diploma in Research from the Autonomous University of Mexico, a Diploma in Human Rights from the OAS, a Diploma in Critical Thinking, a Diploma in Criminology and Forensic Sciences... in short, I am always studying, it is my passion. I like to learn so that I can serve through teaching. I am a teacher by conviction.
Another of my passions is working behind the scenes in politics, as I am part of the civil organization “Mujeres Ecuatorianas Organizadas” (Organized Ecuadorian Women), a group that achieved full parity in the 2022 Ecuadorian presidential elections. This struggle is back in the spotlight, as the frugal National Assembly wanted to remove this right from the Democracy Code in July. I enjoy working to empower rural women through training and project management advice. Ultimately, I believe that everyone should have the same opportunities, which is why I received an honorary doctorate from the Gestalt University of Mexico, a nomination that was sponsored by the School of Training for Confinement to Empowerment.
I am currently a professor in the Dentistry program at the Catholic University of Cuenca and head of the Social Development Observatory. My career as a professor spans 25 years, during which time I have gained a wealth of experience in research, project development, advising undergraduate and graduate theses, and publishing articles and book chapters. In addition to my research work, I am developing a project called Rural Women: Their Environment, Quality of Life, and the Digital Divide that Exists in These Areas. I have written several articles related to the supply chain of macana weavers, the impact of Big Data, predictive analysis of image management, and differences in technology management in urban and rural areas. The results of this project will be reflected in public policies, strategies, and activities that contribute to an effective transformation of the society in which I live and am happy.
