Brenda Paz is a Guatemalan nutritionist with a Master’s degree in Epidemiology from Universidad del Valle de Guatemala. She has experience in public health nutrition research, particularly maternal and child nutrition, dietary assessment, and food environments. Her expertise includes research design, quantitative data analysis, and project coordination.
Brenda Paz is a Guatemalan nutritionist with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Universidad Rafael Landívar and a Master’s degree in Epidemiology from Universidad del Valle de Guatemala. She currently works as a Technical Assistant in Planning, Monitoring and Project Management at the Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama (INCAP).
Her professional and research experience focuses on public health nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, maternal and child health, breastfeeding protection and promotion, and the prevention of noncommunicable diseases. She has participated in regional research projects through the development and follow-up of project activities, data collection and analysis, literature reviews, and the preparation of technical reports and dissemination materials. Her interests include generating and translating evidence to inform nutrition policies and improve health outcomes in vulnerable populations.
