About me
I am an accomplished Medical Doctor, Healthcare Strategist, and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) specialist with nearly a decade of frontline leadership in fragile and low resource environments. Having served as a Clinical In charge and Medical Team Lead for the International Medical Corps (IMC/UNFPA) in both remote and metropolitan regions of Afghanistan, I have directed high volume health operations, optimized BPHS/EPHS compliance, and engineered tracking systems achieving zero loss-to-follow-up for high risk maternal clients. I bridge clinical mastery with public health re search; I am the lead author of a pioneering study on integrated mental health and somatization for vulnerable women, currently under editorial review in the prestigious Q1 journal BMC Health Services Research (Springer Nature). I dedicated to leveraging public health informatics and media advocacy to build resilient, equitable healthcare systems for marginalized populations.
I am a Medical Doctor, Global Health Strategist, and Humanitarian Crisis Responder currently operating in Kabul, Afghanistan. With over nine years of frontline clinical experience, I specialize in Maternal and Child Health (MCH), health systems strengthening, and bridging the critical gap between grassroots clinical practice and high level public health informatics in conflict affected states.
Frontline Clinical Leadership & Crisis Management
In my recent roles as Medical Team Lead and In Charge for the International Medical Corps (IMC) and UNFPA funded projects in both Kabul and Badakhshan, I spearheaded the rapid deployment of high impact MCH and Primary Self Care Centers (PSCC). Under extreme infrastructural constraints, I directed multidisciplinary teams to deliver thousands of critical consultations achieving an unprecedented 0% loss-to-follow-up rate for high risk obstetric emergencies. Over the course of my career, spanning major medical complexes in Afghanistan and a senior tenure at Kamali Nia Clinic in Iran, I have managed over 45,000 (9 years) clinical consultations, strictly enforcing BPHS/EPHS guidelines and international safeguarding protocols (PSEA, GBV, PFA).
Academic Research & Data-Driven Health Policy
I am deeply committed to exposing the silent health crises of marginalized populations through rigorous epidemiological research. My pioneering first author study, "Healing in the Shadows: A Comprehensive Frontline Perspective on Integrated Mental Health, Somatization, and Primary Care for Vulnerable Women in Afghanistan," is currently under editorial review at BMC Health Services Research (Springer Nature, Q1). Furthermore, my operational analysis on optimizing maternal healthcare via Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) is under review for the Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Asia Scientific Day 2026.
Global Advocacy & Continuous Excellence
I view health literacy as a fundamental human right. My dedication to science outreach and community health advocacy earned me global recognition as a First Round Qualifier for the prestigious 2026 Nature Awards for Inspiring Women in Science (Science Outreach Category). To ensure my clinical strategies remain at the forefront of global challenges, I am currently enrolled in an advanced 10 week training program on Reproductive, Maternal, and Newborn Health (RMNH) in a Changing Climate with Columbia University’s Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education.
Vision
Operating in one of the world's most volatile socio-political environments, my ultimate mission is to translate high volume frontline data into resilient, evidence based global health policies, ensuring that the right to health and scientific advancement for women remains a non negotiable global priority.
